Recommended Anime Watching App

Published:  at  11:58 PM

I recommend an anime watching app I use frequently: Animeko (https://myani.org/ or https://github.com/open-ani/animeko/).

This app integrates Bangumi. After logging into your Bangumi account, watching anime with this app will automatically sync your progress. Also, clicking grids in this app is much faster than on Bangumi. Moreover, this app reads danmaku from multiple sources. The best part is that this app supports long-press speed control, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to fast-forward when watching trash anime anymore.

Additionally, let me share some experience about data sources.

First, let me explain the approach.

Many online anime watching websites have similar templates, so you can find similar ones to the data source you want to use from the existing data sources, and then modify them accordingly. Actually, most don’t need modification.

As for BT sources, this is so simple it doesn’t need teaching.

Here’s a BT source I made myself, should work long-term. Right-click to copy the link and import it into the app.

Of course, just using the built-in sources is generally enough. For new anime, you can use BT, for older anime, just use online sources honestly.

With my network, Xifan Anime and Manciyuan are quite good, high clarity and no ads.

Happy anime watching everyone.
